Why People can only be President Two Times

People can only be president two times because of our first president.

George Washington had a chance to be president for more than two times.

But he decided that he wanted to let other people have a chance and to go back and be a farmer and regular person.

Because of his decision someone else got to be president and from then on each president couldn't stay for more than two terms.

This has helped America by making sure no one gets to proud or too much power.

Math and Programming

Today I learned how to program. I learned how to do rectangles and ellipses. I also learned math. It was called equations of tables.

Hurry up Houdini

In this story Jack and Annie are going to get a secret message from Houdini. They go to the tree house. they wish to go see Houdini act onstage. They go to the park and Annie wants to go get ice cream. After they eat Jack wants to go get the tickets for Houdini. But Annie wants to go on a ride. So they go on the ride then an hour later they go get there tickets. There was a big line. they go to get the tickets but this guy says that the show is ruined. They tell the man can we get to tickets. The man says no can't you read the sign sold out S-O-L-D O-U-T. They were sold out an hour ago. Jack was right Annie felt sorry. Suddenly she had an idea. She went and talked to the manager. In a while she came out and said the Bandandi brothers stole the theater again. Annie went back in and told the man that me the awesome Annie and jolly Jack have been performing all around the world. The manager said they could play instead of the Bandandi brothers. so they got there clothes on and they used the magic mist and they performed on stage. After the magic almost wore off the Houdini s were not there. So jack and Annie had to fill in for them. they didn't do good at all me cause the magic mist wore off and then the Houdini s came a little late. They performed very good after though jack and annie couldn't find them.. But they remembered that the Houdini s said after the show we eat ice cream. So they found the Houdini s at the ice cream shop and the girl Houdini said the real story and the ring began to glow and they said it's time to go so the Houdini s go with them and they show them the magic tree house and they show them that it is magic and then they go home. 

Jack and Annie with Alexander

Jack and Annie go to the Greeks. They see this man teaching some boys. Jack and Annie go by him. The man said the earth is the center of the universe. Annie said that guy is totally wrong. Then Annie said the sun is the center of the universe the man said you are totally wrong but you think so well for a girl. The man dismissed the class and talked to Jack and Annie. They told him other things and he was so amazed. He said what is your name. She said my name is Annie whats yours my name is Aristotle he said. He told them to come meet the king he would ask the king if Annie could go in. In a while he came back and said yes you can come. So they went in and they taught the king about bears they came to the Kola bear and said that the Kola bear was not actually a bear suddenly someone interrupted it was prince Alexander. King Phillip the second said how dare you interrupt these to people from telling me what a Kola bear is. Oh sorry dad I didn't mean to. He looked at Jack and Annie and he was bored. when they finished the king let them go with Alexander. He said that he was the best athlete and he was the son of a Greek God. He challenged Jack to a race to the fence and back up the hill. When Jack got to the fence Alexander was already going back up the hill. He was so tired.

At the starting of the book they have a ring and a mist bottle.

 Annie asked jack  if he wanted to wish to be the fastest athlete in the world but jack didn't want to. Then King Philip the second came and he bought some horses he picked a wild one he wanted to give it away tomorrow. In the night Jack and Annie go to tame the horse with the mist they became very good horse riders and they rode the Stallion. He was all black but this little star on his forhead they rode him for a long time after jack fell asleep they learned that the stallion Bucefelus  was afraid of shadows. After an hour the magic went away and then the stallion was not that wild anymore. They rode back and they saw Alexander. He said why did you steal my horse. We didn't steal him we made them calmer and he is afraid of shadows. He rode him and the king said that he could ride Bucefelus. They went back home after that.       

A history battle

I've recently been playing a game called CIV. I am now playing as the Mayans. The computer somehow just made me have my special unit his name is an atlatlist. He has this special weapon that throws this spear and it fires. 

I conquered a city state at the starting of the game. Its name was Alamaty and it is a warrior city. 

That means that if you give it a lot of gold you become an ally and it gives you units. I just decided to conquer it though. After that i met Greece, The Celts, and the Ottomans. I decided to attack with my swordsmen. They are 14 strong. but the Greeks had hoplites and they were also 14 strong they replace spearmen which are 11 strong. I fought the hoplites but i had bad luck. I retreated. Went back to my capital. I waited til I had more advanced technologies. Then I got musketmen and I conquered The Greeks and I went down and I conquered the Ottomans and then I conquered the Celts and the last one I conquered were the Huns.

There was one last civ to defeat but i didn’t know where it was.

I had conquered the whole continent so they had to be somewhere across the ocean. I got my guys in the water I searched and searched and settled a city and at last my scout found it. The last empire was Egypt. I brought my army down and started fighting. I fought and lots of my musketmen died but there were three left and i had one cannon and I fired with the cannon and i fought with my musketmen but it had one hit point left I saw my knight and he attacked it and I won the game by battle. I looked at my rankings and I had Augustus Caesar.

Abe Lincoln

I just read the Magic Tree House book Abe Lincoln at Last.

In it Jack and Annie go to meet Abe Lincoln to give him a message of hope and get a special feather.

I learned that :

Abe was not famous when he was a kid.

He grew up in a log cabin made by hand and was very poor.

Life was very hard for him. He had to do a lot of chores like making corn bread, cutting wood, getting water from the stream and the last thing was grinding the corn for the corn bread.

He also taught himself how to read and liked learning from his sister Sarah.

When he grew up he was very honest and he believed slavery was wrong. When he became President he stopped slavery and freed the slave but some states didn't like it so they left the country and then there was the Civil War.

The Perfect Day

If I could do whatever I wanted on one day then these are the things that I would do. I would read a lot I would play a lot of soccer and I would watch a movie and I would play some wii and civ and I would play lots of fun games like dixit and settlers of catan and I would play Gubs and stratego and I would play an I touch game called settlers.

Now i’ll tell you what will happen when I do all of these things. I would do an amazing goal in soccer and an amazing save. I would cook some food and the food I would cook would be over easy eggs and meatball soup.

I would read all day but the day would be 38 hours and I could play outside with my family and I would go to the library and get Tin Tin and read it in one day or less. I would do math in Khan and I would get everything mastered and I would have the best soccer game in the world and play professional soccer and I would score a hat trick. I would also be a chef and cook all my favorite foods and the last thing I would do is go to bed.

Legionaries

Legionaries have big shields. If they all stand together and put there shields up in the air and a catapult fires at them and falls on there shields nothing  happens because all the shields are together and the rock falls on there shields.

They call it a tortoises shell because nothing can break through it. Legionaries are also good because they can build and fight. Like they can build a fortress and the guys that are fighting them can not get them easily.

The  legionaries also need to know science to know how to build a catapult and tents. Legionaries cut down trees to build weapons.

Railroads

Today I played Ticket To Ride a game about building railroad tracks in Europe and in America. You build them by getting cards that are different colors and if you get like 4 of the same color as the track you are trying to build then you can put it down it is worth seven points.

Tracks were originally  made for horses to pull carts faster where the ground was bumpy.

Later steam engines were invented that made the train move faster.

Back then it took them six months to travel across the U.S.A. but after they built the transcontinental railroad it only took them six days! 

The railroad's usually carried coal, steel and other material that are used for making things.

the people that built the railroads were super super super rich. Some of them used their money to help the poor and also to build schools and universities.

Seattle to New York is my favorite route to build.

Hot and Cold

Do you know why your teeth chatter when you are cold? Its because are body tries to keep it 98.6 degrees. When your body gets colder than that, your brain gives a message to your muscles to start shivering so it will warm up and your teeth start chattering. 

When you your body is too hot, then your brain tells your skin to start sweating. The sweat cools us off in two ways:

1) It Evaporates and carries the water that got heated from your body and it takes away the heat.

2) When you sweat and the wind starts blowing the sweat it acts like an air conditioner.

When you sweat you lose water so you should keep drinking since our bodies are 60 percent water.

TinTin The Prisoners of the Sun

I'm going to tell you a part that i remembered. it starts when Captain Haddock, Tin tin, and a little boy are going to the Temple of the Sun. They go past a waterfall and the little boy made a rope to get across. The boy went first then Haddock And then Tin tin but when he was about to get across the rope broke and he fell into the waterfall. They were so sad but then they herd a voice. It was Tin Tin and he told them to get the rope tie it to a rock and go into the waterfall. They went in and it was very dark. They went to the end of the underneath of the waterfall Tin Tin found some mummy's. Captain Haddock and the little boy went with Tin Tin. They pushed this heavy rock when it fell down they saw tons of guards and a prince. He said they would die but the little boy wouldn't because he has a medallion so they went in jail. A newspaper that Captain Haddock had to light a fire. Tin Tin read it. It said that there would be an eclipse at 11:00. Tin Tin didn't tell the Captain. When they were going to die Tin Tin said to the gods that the sun would not shine and the eclipse came and it was dark the prince said that he would do anything if Tin Tin would Make the sun rise he could have what ever he wanted Tin Tin said sun rise and the eclipse ended. Tin Tin chose to go home.    

Red Rakham's Treasure

Today I read a book called Tintin.

Tintin, Haddock, Thompson and Thompson and Calculus are the main characters.

In my book they are looking for Red Rakham's treasure.

They go on a ship first to go looking for the treasure. Tintin went diving and he found a golden cross and a golden sword. After that Haddock went in and he found some old rum he first drank it all and told Tintin the rest was for him he went back in without his helmet.

Then Tintin went in again and he found something that looked like the treasure. He wanted them to pull him up but a shark came and he ate the thing that looked like treasure.

Tintin found another bottle of rum and threw it at the shark and the shark got drunk. They lifted the shark and Tintin up and they opened the box but there was no treasure inside there was just old documents.

Captain Haddock was sad that they couldn't find treasure when Calculus noticed a cross, so they went to the cross and dug and dug and dug until Tintin said "Why would Red Rakham bury the treasure right at the cross?"

So they went back to the ship and Calculus rebuilt the documents. Tintin saw what Calculus did and so did Captain Haddock and then they read the documents and knew they needed to go back the house that the Captain used to live in. It was for sale so, Haddock wrote on the sign Not For Sale and they went into the basement and found the treasure.     

Turkish Legend

Sheep Rocks

This is a legend from Turkey I read about today that tells about how some rocks around a fountain look like a shepherd with his sheep.

“One day in the desert There was a Shepherd. He had lots of sheep. But there was no water, not a single drop. So he called to the Gods and said please give me some water I will give you my fattest sheep. So the gods gave him a fountain full of water for him and his sheep and they drank and drank till they were full of water. The Shepherd thought he could give the gods the bugs inside the sheep instead of the sheep. He found five leeches and sacrificed them. He said here you go. But the sheep and the Shepherd turned to stone. They turned to stone because The Shepherd didn’t give the gods the fattest sheep like he promised.”

The Silk Road

 The Silk Road was a trading route. Mongolia Conquered so much land. They conquered all the way from China to Constantinople. It expanded through the Silk Road. They protected the people from bandits. The most famous person to go on the silk road was Marco Polo. After Kublai Khan Died the other leaders made lots of little cities and Mongolia fell apart. After Mongolia fell apart the Silk Road was not safe for people to go on because there were bandits and the Mongolians didn't stop them.    

 
Today I played Civ And i want to change history Because the Mongolians fought Istanbul but they didn't Conquer it. I want to fight Constantinople in Civ and conquer Constantinople and change history. But The Mongols were so far away from Constantinople it will be hard to conquer Constantinople.

The Rise of the Mongols

Today I played a game called Civ. I was the Mongolians and I played a scenario. It was called the Rise of the Mongolians and I was Ghengis Khan. I conquered Beijing China with seven horsemen and two Keshiks. Keshiks are Mongolian archers on horses. Keshiks Were very good fighters because they could attack and get away before the army could fight back. I conquered it easily because China’s armies were moving west. So when I fought them I didn't have to fight his armies, I just had to shoot his city down with my Keshik and conquer it with my horsemen. I have to conquer 4 Civilizations: Japan, China, Eastern China, Arabia.

Secrets of Droon

I've been reading The Secrets Of Droon.

I like the books because they are interesting.

The main character is Eric. And the other Characters are Julie, Neal, Max, Galen, the Wizard, and King Zello the king of Jaffa City and Relna the Queen of Jaffa city, Ko, Sparr, Gethwing,and the Ninns.

The Ninns are with Sparr the bad guy with Gethwing and Ko.

And the others are the good guys.

One day Eric, Neal and Julie went into Eric’s house and threw a soccer ball in the basement and it rolled into a closet and disappeared. Julie Eric and Neal go into the closet and the turn off the light and the floor underneath them becomes a shimmering rainbow colored staircase.

They find the ball and go down the staircase, but leave the ball in the closet they see a magical world. Then they find a girl. She says her name is Keah. Then suddenly some Ninns come on some gargoyles. I can’t tell you the rest but you can read the series and find out what happens. I can tell you some parts of the other books but only some. First part is This bad skeleton dude that can make other skeleton’s.  Another part is when Neal becomes a Genie.  the other is that Julie gets bitten by a wingwolf and she gets the ability to fly. The other part is when Eric gets shocked by Keah and then he has wizard sparks.

Robert E. Lee

Robert Edward Lee was a general that served as a commander of the US army for 32 years! He was married to Mary Anna Custis Lee.

Robert Edward Lee’s nickname was the marble man because he was very nice man and there were many monuments built is his honor. he was also considered to be a man nearly perfect just like marble is. that is how his nickname marble man was adopted.

Lee was also part of the civil war as a general of the  Confederate Army of Virginia in the American Civil War. the civil war lasted four years. Unfortunately during the war 600,000 people died. He had 7 kids. And he died at age 63.

Here are some of the things I learned about:

Beavers

1) Did you know that beavers eat tree bark when they are hungry?

Pigeons

1) Did you know pigeons have a magnet in their brains that tells them where home is?

Elephants

1) Did you know that elephants have around 2070 muscles in their trunk we have 270 in our whole bodies?

2) If an elephant can’t get leaves from a tree and they’re too high he will knock down the tree and get the leaves when they are on the ground.

Rhinos

1) Did you know birds go on black rhinos backs and if there is danger they will scream and give an alarm?

Why do they go on their backs? Because they eat ticks and other insects and they get food and the rhino gets cleaned.

Octopus

1) Did you know that when a predator like a shark comes and tries to eat an octopus it changes color like a chameleon?

If the shark sees it, it can still get away by shooting out ink and then swim using jet propulsion.

Vocabulary words

I learned these words today:

 Gullible it means someone that can trick you very easily or you believe anything someone says.

Superb It means excellent. In my Wii soccer game the commentator always says superb save by the keeper.

Genre is a category mostly of music and art.

 Hunch means that your guessing based on something you know.

Imaginative  lets say you built a castle with blocks. An imaginative castle is something that is not real but from your imagination.

The Black Death

The Black Death was a Pandemic infectious disease. It started in China. And five million people died from it.  A ship that came from China brought the disease to Europe. So many people died that there weren’t even enough graves for all of them. People didn’t know how to cure themselves. The doctors of the time actually caused more harm than help. They kept bleeding people hoping to help them but it didn't help at all it only made things worse. The black death spread all the way to England. Iam very grateful that i didn't live when the black death was around.

Stop Motion Video

I just did a stop motion video today. It was about a thief that tried to get the gold from the king but the Romans stopped him.

I like the Romans because they stopped the thief and they had very good soldiers.

The thief was not very smart though. He should've gone through the door and get the gold but he went on the walls where the soldiers could find him.

Montezuma and Cortes

I just read about when Cortes went to the Aztecs. The people saw him and when he brought his horses out of the ship many ran away in terror because they’d never seen a horse before.

Cortes went with his men to look for cities of gold and the people who lived there thought he was a God because he had the same helmet as a picture of a prophecy. Because of these they gave him gold and Montezuma let him in the city.

After that though he killed several of Montezuma’s men and Montezuma was very mad. He fought them but the Conquistadors killed Montezuma in a battle and Cortes was made king.

One night when Cortes looked out it appeared deserted so he went out to the moat with his troops to escape with the gold from the city. He built a bridge and they were crossing it, but the Aztecs came in canoes and fought them on the bridge. Many of the Spaniards pockets were so filled with gold that they drowned.

Cortes and some of his best men survived so they went and got another army of Natives to come conquer the Aztecs. The Aztecs had sacrificed these people’s families so they were happy to fight against the Aztecs.

They did a siege around the city and since they didn’t have enough food and water Cortes took over the city.

Sprints and Running

I like sprinting because i like exercising.

Today i ran a mile in 7 minutes and 42 seconds.  

My mommy can run a mile in 7 minutes and 1 second. 

I want to run a mile in four minutes some day. 

I can run a 100 meter sprint in 18.18 seconds and I can run a 50 meter sprint in 7.7 seconds. 

Do you know Bolt the fastest man in the world? 

He can run a 100 meter Sprint in 9.25 seconds. 

That's 9 seconds faster than me! 

One race he did he started too early and he was disqualified. And then the other Jamaican sprinter won and Bolt was very mad because he wanted to be that Jamaican guy. 

I also like sprinting because it helps with soccer and it makes you more fit. 

I also did a hill sprint in 29 seconds by my house. Hill sprints are not like regular sprints. They are lots harder because you have to fight gravity. It would be very easy to do a hill sprint on the moon because there is not that much gravity at all.
