My Christams presents

So this Christmas I got some really cool gifts.

One of these gifts was a logic puzzle book.

It is called the Lady or the Tiger.

I have already done around fifteen of them they are Awesome!

I love logic puzzles. 

Another gift I got was a puzzle cube. 

My dad helped me solve it, it is really hard.

 I also got $100, to use for soccer cleats.

I also got PES 2017, I am making my own team on it and I have Francesco Totti, Willian, Aleksander Kolarov, Paco Alcacer, Marco Parolo and Antonio Cassano.

I am planning to get Paul Pogba maybe.

I also got some Aarons thinking putty.

The last thing I got was a soccer coach board to learn strageties.

My sister gave me a cool playmobile to.

It's a Wonderful Life Movie

So Recently I watched the movie called It's a Wonderful Life.

We Watched it for Christmas. 

I have had experience when my grandpa, when he had to go to the hospital.

He had been smoking and one of his arteries got clogged.

He had to stay in the awful smelling hospital for 2 weeks. 

When he got home we were all so glad that he was back and safe and we realized that Life is wonderful and that you should enjoy every moment of it.

A little bit afterward we watched the movie It's a Wonderful life when this man hated his life because he had lost all of his money.

So he wished he had never been born.

Then his guardian angel made it so he wasn't born.

Then he saw all of the things that happened  because he wasn't born, It was horrible.

Then the angel made him born again.

Then he got home and all of the people from the town gave him money and his richest friend gave him 25 thousand. Then he was the richest man in the town with his family.

There is also a cool comedy show on this it is called It's a wonderful life Studio c. 

Lord of the rings

So I have recently been reading Lord of the rings.

It is a great book it is fantasy but my favorite character is Boromir.

He is a human but he was very strong. He killed 20 orcs before he died. He got tempted by the ring of power made by Saruan.

Frodo has the ring and now they are goind to try to destroy it with Gandalf, Aragorn who wields the sword that was broken and then reforged, and then Gimli and Legoles. Gimli is a Dwarf.

Legolas is an elf.

Gandalf is a good wizard.

And Aragorn is a man.

and Frodo is a hafling / hobbit.

I also like the Ents, they are trees that were given the power to speak and move by the elves and they are very slow.

I would highly recommend this book.

Soccer things I need to work on

So I am eleven now and I need to work on a few things in soccer. I am still young and now is the best time to create good habits, because it is harder to change when you get older.
So I have always been kind of quiet when playing soccer.
So the first thing I need to change is talking louder and more because I play center back with the GPS elite red team.
But on my other team GPS north shore I am the youngest because I am playing up on that team. I play Center midfield on that team. I prefer midfield over center back because you don't have as much responsibility and I can score more. I am also not the last line of defense. I have always played midfield and I have always liked it. But if I do play midfield more than I need to work on my quick feet and know what to do with the ball and not lose it as much. On the 2005 team I am the biggest kid that is also probably why they put me at center back. I also need to work on attacking the ball in the air if I play center back more. After the spring season next year I am going to maybe play with the Seacoast  united team. They are also 2005.

30 years war

So the thirty years war started way back with Charles V.
So Charles had a brother and his name was Ferdinand. He got the title holy Roman emperor after his brother died Charles V. Then when Ferdinand died he passed the german lands and title down to his son Maximilian who then passed it onto his son Matthias. And then when Matthias died he had no children so he gave it to his cousin Ferdinand II. At those times Germany was a country and had a lot of different little places all ruled by different princes. And the Princes could choose to either be Catholic or Protestant. Most of the princes were Protestant but Ferdinand like his Great uncle Charles V was a Catholic. He did not like Protestant people he passed some laws that made the people in his part of Germany to be Catholic. The Protestant people didn't like this, especially in this on part called Bohemia. They took up their people to protest against Ferdinand. But Ferdinand was not it Germany. But he had left to people to rule his land for him. When the people came to protest the two people got scared and told them to leave but they broke in and threw them out of a window 50 ft from the ground. But they landed in poooooop splaat. So they were safe. But when Ferdinand came back he got mad. After a little bit he wanted to be the Holy roman emperor but he first had to convince 7 other princes. So he got an army with help from Austria and Spain and he went to Bohemia and killed all of the rebels very quickly and he executed anyone who tried to oppose him. Then he took the Protestant land and gave it to his Catholics. But instead of having no one else try to go with the rebellion people got worried and denmark and england joined forces and attacked Ferdinand when they met a lot of people died and it went on for actually 41 years not 30.

Tobacco in North America and African slaves

So from Europe people went to the Americas because they had a lot of good things like furs, fresh fish, and gold. But once all of the gold ran out then they found a new gold green gold. Tobacco, People tried planting tobacco at North america but they said that it did not taste good it was to bland lacked taste. So they took tobacco seeds from Spain and then they planted it there. They made their tobacco like this. First they would plant the tobacco then they would take the leaves and dry them and then roll them into dust. So they started planting a lot of tobacco in north america. Then they would smoke it. But the king didn't like it he said that the tobacco was bad for the people and ruined their lungs. The people didn't have good doctors back then so they kept on smoking tobacco. But soon they had to much tobacco and they had start making farms. But for farms they needed people to take care of them so when the farms got bigger they started getting slaves from Africa. So first the Europeans went to Africa traded pots and pans and other stuff like that for slaves then they went to North America and then they traded slaves for furs, fish, tobacco and other things, then they went back to Europe. This was called the triangular trade. After this Africa started losing a lot of people. So they started to stand their ground and not let the Europeans take their people. In one part of Africa an African queen named Ana Nzinga Mbande. She had a couple sisters and she helped the king fight the Europeans. This battle went on for a long time and soon the king died and someone else inherited the throne. But he was a coward and did not really want to fight the Europeans. Nzinga was mad she told him to fight them. A little after she got an English army general to help them and train their army to use guns. And soon they were doing pretty good but then the king called for peace and he told Nzinga to tell them to stop. So she went and called for peace and all was well.

Soccer best sport ever

So to me soccer IS the best sport in the world. Ok maybe your thinking but I am to old I can't play soccer, well you can still watch and that is almost as good as playing it. But if you can play it you might say I don't like it because I am not very good. Well you can either play with other not very good kids or you can try to get better. I would recommend getting better. Ok but what if your one of the people that is good but not good enough for that team. Two solutions. One bad and one good. The bad one is to give up soccer and try a different sport. The good solution is to work hard and get better for that team. I just love soccer but what if your one of the people who says OK I can't run well this one is a little more long term but still you can play soccer while not running that fast. Goalkeeper is the short term one and the long term one is losing weight by eating good food with full fat and not eat grains. You also can excercise like riding a bike or walking and then jogging a little.
I hope you try out soccer and if you don't at least watch it. I don't play any other competitive sport but soccer.

My play in soccer practice

So today in practice I had a very good play. I was wearing the Adidas 16.2 cage soccer shoes. So this practice session I was doing a lot of really good hard tackles and on one of those I stole it from this kid named Logan. and I dribbled past him then I took the ball and faked one way and went the other way against a kid named Sames but the touch was a little to long and another kid named Finn hesitated a little bit which gave me enough time to poke the ball threw his legs then another of my team mates almost took the ball but let it come to me and then I came to this defender which I didn't do very good against the other times but this time I was able to make him take my bait and go one way while I went the other and the I did a low driven cross that went to this kid named Carmen but he couldn't get a good foot on it and it went wide. And that was my good play.

Christmas and other things

So I know that is a little early to start thinking of Christmas but is it ever actually early to think of Christmas. I think I am going to get PES 2017 maybe I am still thinking about that. I am also going to get $200 for Christmas to buy what I want. I am thinking to save up the money untill I get my other $100 for my birthday. I also am looking forward to Thanksgiving I am goin to be making some sort of dessert for 7 people. I am still thinking about it, I did pies last year. Maybe I will do Pies again. I also just finished reading the five kingdoms book four. It was called the Death Weavers. It was Written by Brandon Mull. He is a Mormon and he was a roommate with my dad in College. He is a really good writer, he also wrote Fablehaven and Beyonders. Two really good series. So what happens in book four of the Five Kingdoms is that Cole the boy who went with some of his friends into the Outskirts by being kidnapped in someones Basement on Halloween. After the other three books Cole meets his brother Hunter. But he does not remember him because that is how it is in the Five kingdoms if you go in then your family and friends don't remember  you. But now they are in necronum and are trying to find Destiny and Honor. Two of the daughters of the high king. He was good but then he became bad. Then there is this thing called the Echolands. You can go to the echolands and then you become an echo. You don't get tired you can't get hurt that easily and your shaping power is really good there. But Cole's Shaping power was mangled by Morgassa a bad monster. But later in the book he goes into a Slipstream and he gets his power back and then he is able to send Nazeem into a prison that resets itself every millisecond.

Christmas 2016

I can't wait for Christmas.
I am going to get these awesome Nike Free Hypervenom 3.0.
They are basically a running/soccer shoe. So they do have the nike skin on them but they have the running sole. I like the blue color the best. I also live typing I used to play Nitro Type It improved my typing skills tremendously. I am up to 78 WPM. I also love reading I have just finished a history book and started a new one. I also am starting a book called the false prince. It is about a bad man who is trying to get boys who look identical to the current prince because the prince disappeared so the bad man wants power and he could tell the boys what to do and because there the prince they could do it. I don't know what happens next but I can't wait to find out. In the history book I just read about Henry Hudson. An English sea explorer. He had a hard life but in the end they named a bay after him. The Hudson Bay. He started his journey and was trying to find a passage that went through Canada and out to India, China and Japan. But when they couldn't find it the sailors wanted to turn back but Henry wanted to keep on going. So one of the sailors wanted to commit mutiny against Henry. So Henry turned back. But he wouldn't stop there he got enough money and went on a ship again but this time over Russia. He hired some sailors but very stupidly he hired the same sailor that had tried to do mutiny last time. So they set off and soon they found out that they couldn't go through the top of Russia so Henry said Ok We'll go back home. But he didn't go home he wanted to try to get through Canada again. When the Sailors saw that they were not going hop they did the Mutiny. THey forced him into a boat and threw him into the icy coast of Canada with no food. He died and when the Ship made it back home there were only five sailors left.

Soccer games this year

So recently I have been playing with a lot of different soccer teams. I am pretty good at soccer and I play Attacking Midfielder, Defending Midfielder and Center back. I can also playa on the wings and striker but my best positions are the ones above. I really like playing soccer. You make a lot of friends, you learn new skills and you have fun while your playing especially when you score. So the teams that I play with are GPS North Shore, GPS NPL, GPS National Team and  Newburyport Town team. The town team is basically a Seacoast team because all of the kids from the team play for Seacoast. We have one all of our games so far this season with Newburyport town. I play Attacking Midfielder for Newburyport Town. Oh something I forgot to mention is that I play U 14 for GPS North Shore and Newburyport Town. But I play U12 for the other teams. I am eleven so I am playing up for Newburyport Town and GPS North Shore. I play Center Back for Gps NPL and GPS National Team. I play Defensive Midfield and Attacking midfield for GPS North Shore. I really enjoy playing soccer not just because I get a lot of cool uniforms but I feel so excited and happy when I am playing. It's like there can't be a day without soccer. :)

My recent sprinting

So I have been playing soccer a lot and I wanted to just get a little bit faster. So I told my dad that and he said he would research, soon after he told me that I needed to start sprinting downhill on a ten degree angle. He said that when you go downhill your legs are moving faster so when you go to run on a regular surface your legs are used to going downhill so you become faster.
Now obviously this will not happen in a few days but it will start to increase in a month or to but to get really fast you need to do it for a couple years. He also said that you should do it for about 40 meters and you should also run back up the slight downhill so you are now doing uphill sprints and downhill sprints. I have been doing it for a few days now and it is a really good thing to start my morning with. It makes me feel more alive and ready for the rest of my day.
I recommend that you exercise in the morning and you will feel better for the rest of the day.

Card Tricks

So recently I have been doing a lot of card tricks. I also do origami so I am pretty good with my hands. I have learned to do the Riffle Shuffle with the bridge, the false cut and the false shuffle. I know some tricks I don't really know which one is my favorite but I like the Final three card trick. It is when the spectator chooses three random cards. He has to memorize the card really well for the upcoming trick. But while he is memorizing his cards you need to be counting out four decks. The first one to the left is going to be 10 cards. the second 15 cards the third also has 15 cards, but the last one has nine.
Ok so now when they have memorized their cards then the put one of the cards on top of the first pile, then put some of the cards from the second pile into the first pile then do the same with the next pile but on the last one you put the whole pile on top and the put that pile on top of the second on and then on top of the first. Ok so now you tell the spectator to say "Stop" if they see one of their cards. So put the first card face up and then the second one face down and then repeat untill you are done with the deck they will not see any of their cards if you are doing it right. Ok now take the pile with the face down cards and do the same thing, first face up and then face down untill you are done with that deck too. Now you tell the spectators that It looks as if they are not seeing any of their cards when you put it face up first, so now this time take the cards that are face down and now put a face down card first and then a face up card and keep on going untill that is done then do this one more time but first put it face up and then face down and then the final three cards should be (If you did it right) their card.
I am also going to get a new deck of cards today.

Learning This Year

This has been a fun year learning about lots of different things.

Hobbies

I got even more into origami this year and learned some very complicated 3D folding with big paper. I also did a lot of baking and made all the pies and pastries for Thanksgiving from scratch which everyone loved. Just recently I learned how to make homemade butter and ice cream. I also can make hair gel out of Chia seeds which is pretty cool. 

Reading & History

I did mostly medieval history this year which is still my favorite and I read the Ranger's Apprentice series all the way through which was a lot of fun. Lately I am reading Narnia. I had read some of these earlier, but never finished the series so I am excited to read them all the way through. 

As a family we did a whole bunch of reading and listening to classics together this year almost 40 total.

Math

This year I finished 7th grade math on Khan Academy and am starting through 8th grade and some pre-algebra. I did a lot of math with money this year too as I had to earn money for my soccer cleats and gear.

Music

I discovered the song Lady of Shallot this year which comes from a poem by Tennyson. I learned to play the song on the piano and am working at memorizing the whole poem this summer. I also learned Solfeggieto which is a fast song by Bach.

Science

This year I spent a lot of time in nature observing animals and plants. I also did some fun science experiments like a candle out of an orange and I learned about chain reactions through dominoes and weaving popsicle stick bombs that go all around.

Sports

I still love playing soccer the most and have made a whole practice skill goals for the summer to get better. This year I played with a Club team where most of the kids were 1 or 2 years older than me. I also got selected for a Regional National Team which will travel to New Jersey later this month for a tournament. I'm working a lot on my touch, but also starting to try and get faster with and without the ball.

Achievements

I did some typing practice this year and my record is 75 WPM which is even faster than my dad. 

I beat my old soccer juggling record this year and got 554 juggles without dropping it. I was getting a little tired by the end.

I also did a lot of photography with my mom this year and I took one photo that I entered into a gallery show and it sold which I was really excited about. 

Science Experiment

So I think Science Experiments are fun. I have been watching a few of the them. One of my favorites is this. So what you need is

1 A straw with the wrapper still on.

2 Water.

So what you do first is take your straw and rip the two ends of the wrapper off. Then squeeze the two sides into the middle until they are very crinkly and can move no more. then slide the wrapper off one side of the straw but be careful to not let it get undone. Then set it on the table and get a bowl of water. Take a little in your hand, then let it drip onto the wrapper, TA-DA! Isn't that awesome it looks like it is growing, almost like a worm. And if you put a lot together they look like a lot of worms moving together.

Soccer Drills this Summer

So my soccer season is about to finish so I didn't only want to laze around in the summer and only go to the beach and sit out in the sun, I wanted to be practicing soccer. So me and my dad thought about it and we came up with some cool drills, some of which included someone passing to you and throwing to you.

But the problem with this is that there wasn't always someone to come play with me so we thought about it and then saw that someone had made a passing board.

You can find that at Soccerhop.com. It helps me get volleys, scissors kicks, one touch and two touch passing. I can also use them for shooting accuracy by putting them at the sides of the goal. Some other things I have been working on are chipping, first touch, free kicks and corner kicks. The passing board helps with first touch but not so much on the free kicks and corner kicks. I also do tricks.

Portuguese and Spanish Sailors

So you have probably already heard about Christopher Columbus, the man who went to the america's. Some of you may think he was the first one there but there was this viking called Lief Erikson that went to the america's before him. His intention was to go to India and trade spices for gold and stuff but he didn't know that North America and South America were there when he set off in 1492. He set off with three ships their names were Nina, Pinta, and the Santa maria. Another sailor went to the america's after Colombus and he was the first one to figure out that the land the Colombus found was not India but were something different.

People called this land America after Amerigo his name. There was also a sailor called Magellan. He wanted to go to India the way the Colombus did, through Chile and out the other way. So he went and couldn't find a way through Chile untill he was really close to the bottom and when he went there it was stormy and it took him over a month to go through it. It was named after him, The Straits of Magellan. But when he got to the other side it was very calm so he named it calm which means Pacific in Spanish. When he got to the other side he got to some Islands near China but that wasn't India. Then he got to the Philippians, that wasn't India either but when he got there one of the leaders of a tribe asked him to fight in a battle to help him but Magellan was killed by a poison's arrow, he died there and never got to India. But his Lieutenant finished his journey for him. They started with 5 ships and a lot of people but was left with one ship and about thirty men.

The Dark is Rising book.

So I have just finished the Dark is Rising book. It is a really interesting book that was written by Susan Wise Cooper. It starts with three children that move to a house that they call the grey house. They have two parents and a great uncle and a house maid. I am going to tell you about what I liked in the book so I am basically skipping threw it. So I liked the part when they found the map in the attic and they were pretending that people were trying to get them, imagination is always fun. I also like when Great Uncle Merry lifted Jane in his arms and protected the children from harm. I also liked how Barney was always aware of everything especially when Misses Palk went into his bedroom. I liked that Simon always wanted to be the leader. And I liked how Jane cared about everyone. I also liked how Rufus barked. Overall it was a great book intense at some parts and sometimes just relaxing. I liked it a lot.

Magista Opus Soccer cleats

So recently I have shipped some Magista Opus soccer cleats. I did some research on these soccer cleats and some people say they are better then the Magista Obra because the Obra causes blisters and pressure marks for some players. The Opus was not bought that much because Nike released the Obra'ss with it so most people went for the Obra's because they were mid cut and looked cooler. The Magista Obra's sell for a retail price of  $275 while the Opus's are $200, the people thought that seventy five dollars is worth the mid cut model. But the Opus's are lighter, have the same amazing touch and are $75 less and they are also more comfortable. They have the same stud pattern and overall I think they are better. The Opus is made with Kangalite, performance mesh, and Nike skin. The Kangalite is also used on the CTR360 and the Magista Orden. I am getting the Magista Opus in Dark Citron color. They both have the all conditions control sign on them.

Orange candle

So recently I have been doing some science expirments. One of these I really liked. It is an orange hat is a candle too. Here are some pictures of it.

 Now I will tell you how I made it. So first I took an orange I cut about a half inch in and then took one of the pictures and I took the orange out but I left the thing that suck up. Then I put olive oil inbetween and on the stork and then I lit it on fire!!

Uefa Champions league

So recently the Uefa champions league has been going on. I have watched some of it but not all of that qualifying stuff that doesn't really matter.:)
But I watched the round of sixteen and after that. Here are the games that were played. Oh and also in the Uefa champions league there are two games so that both of the teams play because then each of them get to play a home and away game. Ok here are the games.

And today Bayern Munich is playing Atletico Madrid home game for Bayern now, and tomorrow Man city vs Real madrid and this time Ronaldo will play again because he had a thigh injury vs man city in the first leg.

Thomas Edison vs Nikola Tesla

So recently  I have been watching these american genius movies on Netflix and I think that they are really cool. One of them that I liked a lot was Thomas Edison vs Nikola Tesla. One thing I noticed about them that sometimes the inventor invents it but then another person makes them better, so this one is like that. So Thomas Edison had a shop and he had people who were making stuff and trying to make electricity in a light bulb. Soon Thomas Edison found out how to do it. He had invented the light bulb. He showed his people in his shop and they thought it was awesome but there was one problem. He couldn't put it into people's homes because there was no plug back then! So the there was another problem think of a power plant then Thomas Edison tried his bulb but it didn't go that far so it could only go to the houses right next to it. But then Nikola Tesla came around he was a young man and he showed Thomas Edison that he was very smart and showed him about alternating current. It could go to very far places like from California to Colorado. But Thomas Edison did not like alternating Current because it was way to dangerous. He told Tesla that if he found out to make his light bulb stronger then he would give him a lot of money. So Tesla sent off to work and after some time he made the light bulb stronger and went to Thomas Edison and asked for his money but Thomas Edison wouldn't give it to him, so Tesla ran away and found a really rich guy and he showed him his light bulb. The man liked it and would help him to make it better. So Tesla was making his with Alternating current and Thomas Edison wasn't so Tesla's was a lot better but it was dangerous so he started to use Transforming that we still use today. But after some time the rich guy was going to go bankrupt so Tesla Tore up all of his Patents and he died alone and without a penny in his pocket. We still use Tesla's alternating current today but Thomas Edison invented it.

The two Princes in the Tower

So a little after the battle of the roses, when Edward IV died his two sons lived in different places. One with his mother and the other with the mothers brother in a castle with tutors. But when Edward IV died there needed to be a new king. So the people wanted Richard III but the mother did not want him so she tried to make her older son be the king but one of Richard's followers sent him a message to come with a big army and become a substitute king. So he came and he took Edward and told everyone that he was safe with him but he was not. He put him in a tower and then told his mom to bring the other son because Edward was lonely. But she didn't want to give her son away so she ran to a church and hid there, but Richard's soldiers found her and took the child away and now there were two heir's to the throne in Richard III hands. He made himself king and executed the mothers brother and had a ceremony for him becoming king. But after a while Henry Tudor came and killed Richard III and he searched the tower and there was no one there. It was a mystery were the two brothers went.

The battle of the roses

So the battle of the roses was a civil war in England. Henry VI was a baby but when he grew older he became a good king. But then after some time he started going mad. Some people say it was because of his grandfather of France that made him go mad because he used to go mad too. So Henry VI far off cousin duke of York, became a substitute king. The Duke agreed. But when Henry got better then the Duke of York would not get off the throne so Henry got an army and defeated the Duke's army and the duke himself. Now Henry was the king of England once more. But the fight for the throne wasn't over yet and the duke's son Edward went and attacked Henry with another attack and took the throne and threw Henry in jail. But then Edward fell in love with on of Henry's relatives but they wouldn't let him marry her so he did it in secret. When they asked him to marry a princess from another land then he had to confess that he had married Henry's relative. The people got mad and took Henry out of prison and attacked Edward and sent him fleeing. But when Edward came back he took the throne back and put Henry in prison. He said that he would be safe in Edwards hands but he was wrong and got killed in prison by someone who they think Edward sent. He was king for four undisturbed years until he died and his son became king but they said that he was too small so the people had Richard III become king. But then yet another royal cousin Henry Tudor came and challenged him to the throne. Richard had such a bigger army but they didn't fight hard so they god killed and they surrendered and even Richard died and Henry Tudor became king, and that was the end of the Battle of The Roses.

My recent origami

So I have recently been into origami. On my birthday I got some 10 in.² of kami. Call me is paper that has a color on one side and then white on the other. It is easier to fold with bigger paper so I like. Here are some photos of my recent origami.

France and England at war

So before the black death there were two forces fighting each other, the French and the English. But when the black death came around the two forces lost to many men and stopped fighting while the black death was going on but right after the black death they started fighting again. The king of England Henry V, told the king of France Charles VI that if he didn't give him his land and his daughter Kathrine then he would take his army and take him over. Charles VI knew that if he gave him his land then he would take his crown and he didn't want that, he also knew if he gave him his daughter then he might have children and say that France is his because of Kathrine. So he declined and with his message the Dauphin of France (or the prince) sent some tennis balls and told him to play tennis instead of attacking and use his energy for hitting the ball. When Henry V read this he was very mad, he sent a letter back and he told the dauphin that he would take his army and take him over. And so he did. He went and fought but he lost a lot of soldiers and wanted to go back home and try again next year because winter was beginning and it was getting cold. But the French did not let him have another try, they stopped him from going back home and they wanted to finish the English once and for all. Henry V knew that he was out numbered but he had no choice but to fight so he gave his men a speech and they set off to fight very strongly and they won the battle. Then the English went to take over more of France but one of the French citys was very precious and they could not afford to lose it so they put their men in their to garrison. It was called Orleans. The English surrounded it and put a siege up. But lucky for the French Joan of Arc popped up and she said she was sent by God. The people believed in he but the king not so much. He wanted to send her away but the servant insisted. The king wanted to know if she was really sent by God so he disguised himself and gave his crown and robe to a knight and called Joan of Ark in. She walked straight to the king and kneeled down and told him that she wanted to save him and help him have his crown back. So she took the army and her men fought ferociously they won the battle and went on to conquer more. Soon they conquered a city and they gave the king his crown back. But after this Joan of Arc got captured and she was put on trial but all of the people that like Joan of Arc were not aloud to be there. Soon she was executed and burned on the fire. The King did not do anything until 25 years after that! She was found innocent. The king started to feel bad once he got older. Henry V got Kathrine as his wife and they had children but he died shortly after that and his son a 1 year old became king.

Archimedes screw

So the Archimedes screw was obviously invented by Archimedes. It was used to get water from a lake or just water up onto plants. It works like this. Think of a spiral staircase, then think of you on the stairs, you are not moving, but then the staircase starts winding upward. Then there are these stoppers that don't let the water go down. Then at the top it lets the water out and keeps doing the same cycle over and over again. Archimedes was a famous scientist and here is a little story about him.

So the king during that time liked Archimedes a lot because he was smart and could solve problems for him. One of these problems was about a crown. He had asked one of his servants to make him a crown of gold. But he was worried that it wasn't all gold and asked Archimedes to come and solve the problem. Archimedes came but didn't solve the problem immediately, instead he went to his house to think about it. He was in his bathtub and then he saw how the water rose when he went in. 

"EUREKA!"he cried  and ran into the streets naked. He had solved the problem. This was called bouncy. You may have heard of it. This what he found out. He put a piece of gold the exact volume as the crown. The crown was more dense so it meant that it was not pure gold it was only leafed. 

Soccer cleats

So I have researched a lot about soccer cleats and today I will tell you about what I have learned. I have mostly researched about the Nike 2016 soccer cleats.

So the first one is the Nike Mercurial Super fly. It is mostly for sprinters because of the stud pattern. It is worn by players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Alexis Sanchez. Some people have problems with the stiff heel but if you don't they are good soccer cleats. Next is the Magista Obra soccer cleats. They are for midfielders and are worn by players like Mario Gotze, David Luiz and Paul Pogba. They have very good touch but also have a stiff heel, but as I said if it doesn't bother you then they are very good soccer cleats. Then there is the Hypervenom Phantom 2. They are for attacking midfielders and strikers. Their stud pattern is very close to the Magista Obra. They have good touch and are very responsive because of the material called Nike Skin. They are worn by players like Neymar Da Silva and Robert Lewandolski. They do not have a stiff heel which is good.

Thor and the giant king

So one day Thor and other of his friends were feasting. But then they ran out of mead. So they said "Oh the mead ran out so we must go to bed now." 

But Thor wanted to get more mead for them so he set off in his chariot pulled be goats. He found a house and the people in the house were hungry so he let them kill one of his goats. But he told them that they had to leave him the skin and the bones because he needed those. So the mother and father ate all they could and they left the bones and the skins for Thor. But when Thor went to go to sleep the oldest son of the father and the mother was hungry and couldn't go to sleep because of Thors snoring so he got one of the bones and he broke it in half and sucked on the marrow. When Thor woke up he was ready to head off but then he found out that one of the bones were broken. He said "Who broke my goats thigh bone?" 

"I did." said the oldest son boldly.

"Then you will become my servant." said Thor. 

So the oldest son went with Thor as a servant in the chariot of goats. 

When they landed Thor was tired so he asked the oldest some to go find a place to rest for the night. So the oldest son went and after a while came back and told Thor "There is a cave with five rooms and it is dry." So they set off to the cave but then they heard some snoring and Thor got mad and said "Only I make the sounds like that." and went to go see what was making that sound. It was a giant snoring. He was very mad and brought his hammer and hit it as hard as he could between the snorers eyes. That blow would've knocked a tree right into the ground like a matchstick but the snorer snorted and flicked at his forehead and said "Oh stupid flies."He opened his eyes and saw Thor. "Oh who is this little man."

"I am Thor." said Thor "Well won't you invite me to dinner?"

"Oh of course." said The giant. So Thor went to eat and he saw the mead

"May I have some mead?" he asked. 

"Yes of course." said the giant. So he drank as much as he could and he felt like he was going to explode but barely any of the cup had been drunken. 

"Are you ok?" asked the giant. "Maybe you should play with my cat for a while." So when the cat pawed at him and pinned him down he pushed it over. And then the giant asked "Would you like to wrestle my grandma?" and when he tried to attack her she pinned him down to the ground. 

"Well do you think you can steal my kettle now?" asked the giant

Thor shook his head.

"Then let me tell you what you have done. When you swung down your hammer you hit the ground so hard that you cracked it three miles wide and a mile deep. When you drank the mead you were drinking from the sea and you drank so much it lowered a lot that I was scared that you would empty the sea. And when you lifted my cat you lifted the Midgard Serpent so high that it reached the sky, you should not have been able to budge it though. But when you faced the old woman you couldn't beat her because she is Old Age and no one can defeat Old Age even the strongest men can not beat Old Age. Thor was furious and went to attack them but everything disappeared  into the air and he was swinging his hammer into the air. 

Charles the hammer

So after the Muslims conquered the Visigoths in Spain. But they wanted more than that so they went into the Franks and went to attack them. They were very proud and said they were like a wind that could not be stopped. But then they got stopped. The Franks in France asked there king to stop the Muslims. He said be of good cheer and went with a countless army of soldiers and went to attack the Muslims. The Muslims had gathered a lot of gold and other precious stuff and settled outside of the big city of the Franks. They wanted to conquer this city and get all of it's riches. The general of the Muslims saw that Charles was coming and was going to tell his men to drop all of their riches and go attack the Franks. But then he thought that they would rebel against him so he didn't do anything. So once they came close his army went to attack them and they fought all day and couldn't fight in the night because it was to dark. So they wanted until the first light of dawn and started fighting again but then they thought about their riches and went to protect them. The general tried to make them stay but they wouldn't. So the general got killed and once he was dead the other Muslims fled. Charles was then nicknamed Martel which means hammer in Latin. So Charles the Hammer because he stopped the Muslims.

Islamic invasion

So do you remember when Allah made people Islamic? Well he conquered a lot of places and made them Islamic some of those places were like North Africa, some of the Byzantine empire, Medina, and Mecca. But in Spain there were some people called Visigoths that were barbarians but now they were ex-barbarians. But there king died so they needed another king. The kings advisers said that a general or soldier named Rodrigo would be a good king, but the kings sons complained about this because they wanted to be king. But the advisers forced the people to have Rodrigo as their king. So the kings sons sent a message to the great fighter Tariq bin Ziyad. He was just a slave at first but then he became Islamic and became a soldier. Then he fought with such bravery that he was pushed up again and again until he became a famous general. So he took his army and went into Spain and took it over. But he did not make the dead kings sons king but he made himself king over Spain.

Australia & New Zealand

So when I say Australia do you think of a giant country that is as big as a continent. Well that might seem strange but Australia is called a continent just like Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Australia. They say that people lived on Australia from the start. Here is a story about the people that lived there.

So there was this boy names Rulu. He lived a tribe called the nomad's. There are a lot of nomad tribes, nomads are people that travel to hunt and do not stay in the same place and build a civilization. Once they were near the sea and Rulu went fishing with his fathers. All of the men and women were called fathers and mothers. So Rulu went fishing and he caught a big fish. But then they had to move away from the sea into the inland part of Australia. Then they got hungry and food was scarce. So Rulu and two of the fathers went with him. They wanted to catch a kangaroo. They found a little pool that the kangaroos were but the water was almost all gone. Rulu was really thirsty so he dug underground until he found a water toad. It was wet and cold it had sucked up a lot of water in its body and Rulu squeezed it all out into his own mouth. He had quenched his thirst now. Then they went and they found the kangaroos. They caught one and they brought it back to camp. The Mothers had caught some snakes and they roasted those with the kangaroo. It was a delicious meal and they slept good that night.

That was a story about Australia but here is another one that is about New Zealand.

So there was a boy that was born into a big family with a lot of brothers that were older than him. His name was Maui."Let me go hunting with you" he would plead "No you are to little" his brothers would say."Let me go swimming with you" "No you are too little" "Let me go fishing with you" No you are too little". So one day he was getting tired of this and he jumped up and hid in his brothers canoe. When they came and they went out to fish he popped out of his hiding spot and said "Here I am, now you have to fish with me, give me some bait". "No you are not fishing with us". But he threw his hook into the water anyway. His brothers caught a few little useless fish when all of a sudden he caught some fish that was gigantic. He pulled it up and his brothers started hacking at it with their sharp sticks and soon they started making mountains and hills and started making a new country. It was the second island of new Zealand. They named it after him. Te Ika-a-Maui was the name of the island that Maui made.

Of course that is not how the island was made but it did rise out of the sea because of volcanoes that erupted and the lava touched the water and it solidified and soon it made an island.

Story of Susano

So Japan was broken up into a lot of different pieces. But on of the ones in the middle of Japan was called the Yamato dynasty. It conquered all of the other dynasty's and everyone followed the Yamato dynasty. Here is a story about Susano.

So Susano got the water and his sister Amaterasu. Got the sky. He didn't like this because the sky was bigger than the water. So he got mad and tried to fight Amaterasu but he failed. Then when he got down to the water he heard someone weeping. He asked the man why are you weeping. He said because my daughter is going to get eaten by the monster that killed my other daughters. Every day he comes and eats another one, and today he will eat my youngest one. Susano thought about it and then he got eight bowls of wine and then he changed the girl into a comb and put it in his hair. He loved her and wanted her to be safe. He asked her dad if he could marry her after killed the monster. Her dad said yes he could. So when the beast came and drank the wine he went to sleep and Susano cut him up into eighty pieces. Then he found a sword in the center of him and he sent it to Amaterasu as a sign of peace. Then he married the mans daughter and they had eighty sons. But in the land everyone was fighting so Amaterasu sent the Sword that Susano had got when he killed the eight headed beast, a string of beads that she wore in her hair and a mirror that she looked at herself with she also sent her favorite grandson to go. When her favorite grandson went then he kicked Susano out and sent him to the moon and he ruled over the earth.

Spread of Islam

So Muhammad ruled Mecca and also some of the Arabian peninsula. But one day he felt tired and he layed down to rest and he never woke up! He was dead! The Islamic people were afraid, who would be their prophet and tell them the desires of Allah. But then Abu Bakr the friend of Muhammad said that he could be the prophet and the people relaxed a bit but not all the way. Abu Bakr was a good leader but he was not as strong as Muhammad he was thin and wore ragged clothes. He still sent armies to conquer other places and spread Islamic to those places. He was the first Caphir of the Islamic people. There were many other Caphirs and they conquered other places and they also conquered some of the Byzantine empire. That is how they spread Islamic by force do you think that is a good way to spread a religion, it's kind of like forcing people to do it when they don't want to I don't like that. The Caliphs had built a new capital for the Islamic empire. It's name was Baghdad. It was a good capital and it was a good trading place. They traded gems gold and food.

Muhammad

Muhammad was a poor person and he lived with his uncle and his grandfather. They worked hard and Muhammad helped them in their work. But sometimes he went around the city of Mecca and saw a lot of people gambling with their money and drinking a lot. He didn't like this they wouldn't use their money for their children's food but they would gamble with it. Muhammad sometimes went into the dessert and he found a cave and thought about stuff. Now I will tell you a story about him going into a cave and finding something out.

So He went into the cave and he built a fire. But then he heard a voice that said "Read". He didn't know where it came from but then he said "I don't know how to read". But then he heard the voice again and it said "Read the fire". And he looked into the fire. He couldn't read but right now magically he could it said "I am the angel Gabriel and I need you to tell the people that they should follow Allah". So after this Muhammad went out of  the cave and he went back to his home. He explained to his grandfather and his uncle and to the servant and they believed him and told him that he was a prophet. The religion that he taught the people was called Muslim.  So he went to tell the other people some stuff like you shouldn't drink anymore because it will kill you. You should now gamble with your money but you should feed your family with it. The rich should give to the poor. You should not worship idols but you should worship Allah. But after this the rich did now like it because they wanted to keep their money so they did not obey his teachings. They wanted to get rid of all of the Muslims that had followed Muhammad. So they ran out of the city and went into the city right by them called Medina. But Muhammad and his friend Abu Bakr stayed in Mecca in the house. But then while they were eating dinner they heard someone knocking hard on the door. "Open up quickly". So Muhammad opened up and he said "You must run away quickly before they come and kill you. So they ran out into the mountains and found a cave. The soldiers passed by but one of them found a spiders web and said "If they had gone in here they would've destroyed the spiders web" so they went away and looked somewhere else.

St.Nicholas

So here is a story of someone called Nicholas. 

So shortly after Nicholas was born his parents died so he had no mom or dad. But they did leave him a lot of money. But in his town a woman couldn't marry unless their dad gave the person who she wanted to marry a gift. But in Nicholas's town there were three woman who really wanted to get married but their dad didn't have enough money. So on day he was walking by the house and he heard one of the woman weeping and saying "I will never get married to the man that I love." He couldn't stand it, so he went back to his home and got out a pack of gold coins. But he didn't want her to see who gave her the gold coins so he threw them in through the chimney. She looked up and said "Oh look there is a sack of gold coins but then she realized "What about her two other sisters." So Nicholas went back to his home the next day and he threw another sack of coins for another of the woman's weddings. Then he did the same thing once more for the last woman. Then they all got married and they danced and were happy. Then Nicholas got called St. Nicholas and some people know him as Santa Claus. He gives gifts on the 25 of December.

Justinian

So if you have heard of the powerful emperor Justinian of the Byzantine empire his parents were not the rulers and they were just farmers working in the fields. But Justinian didn't want to work in the fields he wanted to be a great emperor. He was always learning and studying about math reading and writing. He pleaded his parents to let him go the capital Constantinople. After some time they let him go and his mother made some meat and bread for the long, long, long, journey to Constantinople. It was about one hundred miles from where he was. But when he got there he was amazed at how big it was. It was harder for him to learn though but he did it. Then he joined the army. He helped the general with the supplies and the battle tactics. The people liked him and they agreed that he would be a good leader. So after the king died he became king. But it was hard because there were a lot of laws in different parts of the empire like in one part a thief could steal and then be killed and then in the other part a thief would only have to pay for it. So he made his own rules. Here are some of the laws.

• The beach is everyone's, and no one can say that this mine and get off
• The rivers belong to everyone, everyone can fish in it without being told this is mine not yours.
• If you find a treasure on the beach then you can keep it and no one can take it away from you.
• you are allowed to have slaves, but you can not mistreat them or beat unless they are disobedient.
• A thief who steals something must pay the owner four times what the thing he stole is worth. 

But Justinian had a wife of course, her name was Theodora. When she was younger her father was a head of a circus. She liked it and when she got older she became a clown and painted her face and mad the people laugh. The people like her a lot. But then she heard of Christianity and she wanted to become a Christian. Then she stopped the circus stuff and she became a woman who made clothes out of sheep wool and sold it to people. Then when Justinian was still in the army she saw him walking by and thought he was very handsome. Justinian saw her and thought she was very beautiful and wanted to find out where she lived. After some time he found out where she lived and fell in love with her and got married. Then he became the emperor and she became the empress. He never mad a decision without asking her her thought. But then the people wanted him to get rid of two of his advisers but when he refused they began to tear up the city and they even put the Hagia Sophia to fire. He was afraid that they would destroy the palace and kill him and Theodora. But Theodora told him that he had to stay otherwise they would take his throne. After some time of arguing Theodora got him to stay and send an army to go attack the people. Justinian's men won the battle. He made his workers rebuild the Hagia Sophia and he made it even more beautiful then it was before. 

Drills

So my soccer coach has made this thing to get better at soccer and my dad thought it was cool but it was very expensive. So my dad wanted me to think of a routine and I could do it every day instead of there thing. And he would pay me for it. He would give me $150. So I thought it was awesome. I haven't thought of everything yet but when I do get everything and paid then that could help with getting the Magista Obra soccer cleats. I think I remember that my dad told me that Magista means beautiful in Latin and Obra means work in Latin. I thought that was cool. It is a snow day today so I can't do drills because inside we are fixing the floor. Me and my brother want to play soccer in the snow after the snow stops.

The Byzantine Empire

So the Byzantine empire was a lot bigger than the Roman empire and it hat fourteen palaces. It also had the Haggai Sophia. It was an amazing place. The Byzantines made nice smooth roads like the romans and also dressed like the romans wearing togas. They had about one million people in the byzantine empire. They also had a lot of soldiers. They also had a lot of schools for the kids. The richer ones learned about more advanced stuff and the poor ones learned how to read and write.

Making books by hand

So in the medieval ages. There weren't that many books. This was because It was a hard and very long process. Only the monks made these books because it was so hard. This is how it was made.

So first they didn't have a market to go buy some paper so they had to make it themselves. They made a special paper called parchment. So first they had to kill a animal and take the skin off of it. Then they had to soak it in a river or stream for several days. Then you have to put it in a barrel with special chemicals to take off the hairs. But then they had to scrape the rest of the hairs off. Then they had to dry it all of then soak it again and then dry it off again. Then they had to make a lot of sheets of paper and sow them together to make pages. Then they had to write on them. But first they had to make a pen out of turkey's feather and then sharpen the tip then they had to make ink for it. This was very hard because they had to write one letter at a time. They wrote it with there best handwriting. They couldn't make a mistake otherwise they would have to start all over so they had to be very careful. Then they had to make drawings on the sides. Some were big and took up a whole page some were small on the corners. They sometimes made gold leaf to put on the paper. And they made there paints out of egg whites and other colors. It was a very long process and they usually worked for eight hours a day. They usually made 2-3 books in a whole year! When the book was done they put it in the library where it was safe. You couldn't just check out the books.

1000 touches & soccer cleats

So I love soccer it is definitely most favorite sport. I do one thousand touches when it is now a practice day. I want to get up early like at 7:30 then go outside and do touches. But I can't do that now because right now it is really really cold. BRRRRRR. But I am probably one of the best on my team. I play midfielder. I want to be the best midfielder in the world when I grow up.



I love soccer and I wanted some awesome soccer cleats. The newest version now are the high cut version. That means it comes like a sock. It makes it feel like the shoe is part of your foot. I am a midfielder so I would wear the cleats called the Magista Obra's. They have incredible touch and also have a good shot they are amazing for a midfielder. But one problem. They cost $275! So my dad would never buy me shoes for that much money so I had to find out how I could get them cheaper. Then a miracle happened I was searching for these cool shoes and I found them for only $70! That is a lot off. But then my dad found out that they were replicas. But they weren't full replicas because they had the tag on the bottom not on the top. So I think that they are practically real. I was so happy. I also liked these other shoes called the Superflys. But they were not for me they were for attacking strikers who sprint like Cristiano Ronaldo. Then there was the Hypervenom phantom 2. They were also cool but they were also for strikers. But I am happy with my shoes.

Monks

Augustine and his men were called monks. They promised to pray teach and learn the bible for the rest of their lives instead of having children and a family. They went to special buildings called monasteries. They went there eight times a day. Some of the Anglo-Saxons liked Christianity and they built monasteries as well. They built Monasteries in Ireland and other places in Britain. They couldn't eat butter on there fresh bread unless it is a holiday! They also couldn't eat four legged animals. They also couldn't talk while eating unless it was about the bible.

Spreading christianity

So the people of Rome became Christian because there ruler was Christian and he wanted everyone to be Christian so they became Christian. So one day the Pope went out on a walk to the marketplace. Then he saw a few boys for sale as slaves. They had blond hair and very white skin. The pope asked the guy who was selling them "where did these boys come from?" They came from the island of Britain said the man. So he asked the boys what are you guys called. We are Angles. Said the boys. He laughed and said you look more like angels. So he took the boys back home to where they lived and he found the ruler of the Anglo-Saxons and asked him if we could spread Christianity to the land. He said they could if they stayed in a place and didn't cause trouble. So they built monasteries and other churches and they began to teach the people Christianity. They followed them and they became Christian.

Bird nests

So I learned about bird nests from a video I watched. The first bird is called a Humming bird. It makes it's nest by getting fine silk to shape into a little nest and then it gets spider silk to bring it all together. The second one is my favorite it is a bird, oh I forgot it's name but it is awesome it makes it's nest out of mud and grass. It bakes it so it divides it into two parts and they leave a little opening at the ending and then you go threw there and you get to the eggs. It is very smart. The other one is called a cowbird. It lays it's eggs into other birds nests and they let the other birds take care of their eggs. Sometimes the eggs get thrown out but sometimes they actually raise them. Then there is another bird which I forgot its name but it makes its nest on the harbor and out off big twigs and then they have to keep predators off. They have to keep predators off because sometimes they are two lazy. 

Early Britian

So the Romans had just lost their giant empire. But there were still some soldiers on thee souther part of Britain. They didn't want them to be there so there warriors called Celts. They painted there faces and were almost naked. But they were fierce warriors and killed every last roman on their land. There is a story about there strength that goes like this.

So there was this guy named Criath. He was a very strong Celt and he had never lost a battle. But he felt lonely and he wanted to have some one to marry. But only one person was perfect for him. She had Hair as black as raven, skin as white as snow, and cheeks as red as blood. But she was being kept prisoner with a giant named Fuvor. So he went on his way and met a soldier. The soldier asked him can you see that bird over there on the others side of the world? Criath said no you, but you must have very good eyesight come join me on my journey. So the two knights now walked toward the castle and soon they saw a knight that had his ear to the ground. What are you doing Criath asked him? I am listening to the grass growing under the earth. Wow you must have very good ears. Join us on our journey to the castle. So now there were three knights. Then they walked and came to see another knight who had a rope tied around his legs. Why do you have a rope tied around your legs? said Criath. Well if I took the rope off then I would run so fast that I would disappear in the blink of an eye. Wow you must be so fast. Come join us on our journey to the castle. At last they came to the castle and they saw the giant giant. Let the woman with hair as black as the crows wing, skin as white as snow, and cheeks as red as blood, go. I will let her go after you fill three bottles of water from the well on the other side of the world. Hey you who can run so fast that you will disappear in the blink of an eye go fill three bottles of water from the well at the other side of the world. So he was off and in a minute he was at the well. He filled three bottles of water and started racing back but when he was half way there he thought, if I go now then I will be there in lest than a minute. So he laid down and fell asleep. Criath now said where is he, hey you who has very good hearing listen and see what he is doing. So he put his ear down to the ground and said He is snoring. So then he asked the guy who has amazing eyesight throw a rock at him to wake him up. So he did and he woke up and raced back with the water. So they gave the water to the giant and he was mad but he kept his word and gave them the woman. Criath married her and they lived happily ever after.

So the Celts were not just one giant people but they were all separate tribes and they had different rulers for each tribe. One of these rulers was called Vortigern. Other tribes from the north kept attacking him and he got mad, he wanted help. So he called to some barbarians that were called the Angles Saxons. They accepted the request and they settled in Britain. They liked the place and they called for more Angles Saxons, there was plenty of space here for more Barbarians. They came and they settled there and they were happy there. But the other Celts did not like all of these barbarians here. Poor Celts they first got attacked by the Romans and now the Barbarians. 


The barbarians also had a hero like the Celts. His name was Beowulf. The story goes like this.

So there was a giant beast named Grendel. He was as tall as two trees stacked on top of each other. The biggest men were as tall as his knee. He ate the soldiers and the king did not like this so he sent Beowulf and a few of his strongest men to go kill the beast. So they waited in the doorway until the beast came. They had locked the door and bolted it so he couldn't get passed. The king offered Beowulf a sharper sword but he refused and said "I will fight with no sword and no armor so I am equal to Grendel." so he took off the armor and threw away his sword and was ready for the beast to come through. At last Grendel came through and he went to grab on of the men but Beowulf grabbed his arm and started twisting it until he yelped in pain and the arm came off. He ran away and some of the men followed him. They found that he had jumped into a pond and he had drowned. They all cheered and were happy that the beast Grendel was dead.

The Roman Empire

So the Roman empire was a giant empire It surrounded the whole Mediterranean sea. It went into Africa into Britain and a lot of other places. It was the largest empire at the time. But they didn't have enough people to guard the giant empire. So let's say you have a giant orchard of yummy peaches. And then some animals wanted to eat them. So some animals come from on side and start getting some peaches and then you go and shoo them off. But then there is another animal that comes on the other side and you see how it is. That is how the roman emperor felt. But then there was a good emperor that was named Maximian. He divided the empire into parts and then they lived happily ever after. HEHEHE

Genghis Khan

So Genghis Khan was born in 1167. His father was the chieftain of the Yakka tribe. When his father died he became chieftain of the tribe. He wanted to get all of the Mongol tribes together so that he would have a larger army to attack the Chinese. So he made people follow him by telling them that if they didn't follow him then he would kill them. Most of them followed him but those who didn't were killed. But then he had his army of all of the Mongol armies. So they were nomads and they never settled they kept on moving and killing other people. They could go without food four a few days, but if they really needed food then they cut open the horses veins and drank some blood and then patched it up. The icy cold weather couldn't stop them. They sometimes greased there skin to make the wind not make them colder. Everyone was afraid of them so they could take them down pretty easy. Then they came to China and broke down the walls and took the riches from the people inside Beijing.

Ex-barbarians

So there were these barbarians that went close to Rome and then they saw how they built houses and they bathed and they did a lot of stuff. Then the barbarians started doing this and called themselves the Gauls. Then some other barbarian tribes came and settled there. One of the barbarians tribes names were the Franks. Then they heard that the Huns were coming. They were afraid of the Huns. So they didn't like each other but they liked the Huns even less. So they joined together and the Leader was a Frank and his name was Merovius. He led them into battle and they defeated the Huns. But then they separated again. Then Merovius's grandson Clovis wanted everyone to be together and he wanted to be the leader, so he married a princess Clotilda. She was a Burgundian. He killed all of the romans in Gaul and made the Franks join alliance with him. Then he was ruler of all of the barbarian tribes. Clotilda was a Christian and she wanted Clovis to be a Christian too. But he refused and one day in a battle he saw that his men were being slaughtered. But then he asked God to help him and he would do anything if he won the battle and then his soldiers started fighting amazingly and he won the battle. He went to a bishop and he became Christian.

Blender

So Blender is a 3d animation course for kids. They can animate objects to move and to bounce and roll, do flips, and also jump over pillars. It is really cool. They first show you how to do something then they have a review then they have a troubleshooting thing which you have to fix the broken animation and you also get points which you can get characters and stuff in the background to make it look really cool. You also have to put a lot of key frames to make it move. Also rotation key frames to make it rotate. You also have to go into something called the half and graph to make him jump. You can also animate the cameras that are in it. You also can make the main character Nobbie get away from a big rolling ball. You can also do some cool keyboard shortcuts. The you can render it which is a really long process but it makes it look so amazing. It only takes about 2 days for a 1000 frame thing. You can also make different scenes.

Bernini

So Bernini was a Italian sculpture and architect. He wasn't as famous as Michelangelo but he was still really good. He sculpted David and I think it is better than Michelangelo. But he has his own style, it is called the Baroque style. It was a medieval style and Michelangelo's was a reconnaissance style. The Baroque style was more action and it makes you like have to duck and makes you think that you are in the scene. Michelangelo makes it more beautiful like you just want to look at it. He was born in December 7 1598 in Naples Italy He died on November 28 1680 In Rome Italy.

The Pheoenicians

So the Phoenicians were really good sailer's that lived to the north of Canaan. But it was hard to plant wheat where they lived because it was all rocky and sandy and dry. So they used there boats and sailed the Mediterranean sea, and became traders. They started cutting down trees to build homes. The Phoenicians were famous for making glass. Making glass in the ancient times was a long hard complicated process. So they started out by making a chemical called lye by putting water on the ashes that were left over from the fire. Then they collected the liquid that oozed out of it. Then they mixed the lye liquid with sand and then put it over a fire to melt it and to get it really hot. But it was hard to melt sand so they had to use these bellowing machines tat got it really really hot which melted the sand. Then they cooled it down so it turned into glass. Other ancient people made glass so they weren't the first people who invented glass but they were the first who invented glass blowing. It works like this, instead of putting it into a mold they would put it into a pipe and then they would blow gently and it would form a bubble, then they could twist it. They also put dye into it so they could color it.

Rome vs Carthage

So both Rome and Carthage were both hungry for more land. So they fought each other for it. So They went in the water and both fought on the water with ships. But it was stalemate the whole time so one of the Carthage generals named Hannibal. He led his Elephants to the alps where the roman soldiers were camping. They heard strange noises and then saw the elephants. Some of the romans had never seen elephants and ran in terror. The elephants started burning some of the roman cities and the soldiers ran to Rome. One of the roman generals was smart though and led the best roman troops straight to Carthage. The people at Carthage were not expecting this and got scared, they called for Hannibal to come back and help them. But it was to late Hannibal's troops were to tired and to worn out burning cities that they couldn't fight the romans and they were defeated.

Bones

So one crazy thing about bones is that there are 50% of all of our bones in just our hands and feet! And also 10% of our body is broken and then rebuilt every single year. Also if we didn't have bones then we would be like blobs. There are also four parts of the bone. The fibrous outer lining, spongy bone, compact bone and the bone marrow.

My mean dad

My mean dad won't let me go shovel the high school soccer field. I was trying to do something nice for the high school and for the country. But he doesn't want to. I also wanted to play soccer there but he says nooooo! I think he doesn't like soccer. I also almost got a concussion and he says I should rest, what a rude compliment. I think it will be amazing for my soccer skills because I can shovel out paths and then dribble and pass threw them. He hasn't even seen the soccer field yet and he says IT IS SNOWED IN! He is very mean.
