Japan by itself

Last night we learned about Japan when it decided to stop everyone from coming or leaving the country.

The leader was afraid of the Christians that they would conquer Japan so he made a law that no one could build ships to go in the ocean.

Then Christians revolted but they lost. Then people in Japan started to focus more inside their own country since they couldn't learn about the rest of the world.

Goalie Angles

When you are a soccer goalie it is important to know about angles.

If you stand right in your goal it is easy to score because there is a wide space on either side you cannot reach.

But if you come out of your goal then you cut off the angle and make it harder to score.

Skeleton and Muscles

Today I learned about muscles and the skeleton.
Here are some interesting facts:

Did you know that your biggest muscle was your gluteus maximus which is your rear end? =

My nose is not made out of bones. It is softer and made out of cartilage.

Newborn baby's bones are all made of cartilage.

Your strongest muscle is your tongue.

Your biggest bone is in your leg it is called a femur.

The smallest bone is in your ear.

The blood in your body isn't made in your heart or brain. It's made in your bones.

I like to flex my biceps and I learned that muscles have to work in pairs so that if you flex one the other stops flexing.

Roger Williams

Today I learned about Roger Williams. The Puritans in Massachusetts had a law that you could only believe in their religion. If you didn't then you could be sent to jail.

Roger Williams was one of the people that believed that people should choose which religion they followed. He said the king should let the people choose and the people banished him.

He went to Rhode Island where he met the Indians and he asked if he could live with them. They said yes and he bought some of their land and called it Providence. Later that became the capital of Rhode Island.

In Rhode Island people from any religion were free to choose and worship however they wanted. Many people like that law, such as the Jews and Catholics.

Roger Williams was a good man because he set the example for letting people choose for themselves.
